วันที่ 28 ตุลาคม เวลา 9:12 UT เกิดปฏิกริยาดวงอาทิตย์ ส่งพลังงานออกมาเป็นมุมกว้างทางด้าน -ทิศตะวันตก- ไม่ตรงกับโลก แต่ส่งรังสี X-ray ออกมาเป็นปริมาณสูงมายังโลกในเวลา 2:03 UT นอกจากนั้นยังพบปริมาณจุดดับขยายตัวอย่างฉับพลันในวันที่ 27 ตุลาคม (ESA Daily Sun Spot Number) จากโมเดลพบว่าคลื่นพลังงานจะเดินทางมาถึงในแนววงโคจรของโลกในวันที่ 30 ตุลาคม เวลา 6 UTC +/- 7 ชั่วโมง

ผู้ทีสนใจโปรดติตตามสถานการณ์บนโลกที่จะสัมพันธ์กับเหตุการณ์ข้างบนอย่างใกล้ชิดตั้งแต่วันนี้ถึงวันที่ 31 ตุลาคม ครับ

Solar Activity is High

A number of sunspots, including 1875 and 1882 are trading shots today with moderate to strong solar flares. In addition to the X1.0 and M5.1 flares last night, Sunspot 1882 just produced M2.7 and M4.4 solar flares. The event was also very noisy creating heavy bursts of noise across the VHF radio spectrum. A Type II radio .

CME Update: A CME is now emerging in the latest LASCO imagery. Because 1882 is now in a better geoeffective positon, there could be an Earth directed component. More to follow.

 

ที่ทางนักวิทยาศาสตร์ของนาซ่าบอกว่า SC 24 มันจะมี Double Peak เพราะว่า Peak ครั้งแรก มันพุ่งขึ้นและตกลงเร็วเกินไปนั่นเอง




ไม่ทราบว่า peak ที่ 2 ของ Solar Max วัฎจักรที่ 24 ที่กำลังเกิดขึ้นนี้ จะสูงกว่า peak ครั้งแรกที่เกิดขึ้นเมื่อปลายปี 2011 หรือไม่ ติดตามกันต่อไปครับ

Major X2.3 Solar Flare Detected

Departing Sunspot 1875 is saying goodbye to us by producing a major X2.3 solar flare at 21:54 UTC. The event was responsible for a strong R3 level radio blackout. A coronal mass ejection (CME) is now visible in the latest LASCO imagery. Because 1875 is now located off the west limb, the plasma cloud will be directed to the west and away from Earth. More updates to follow if necessary.

 

Halloween Super Storm Anniversary

Today marks the 10th anniversary since what later became known as the great Halloween super storm of 2003. On October 28th, 2003, an X17 solar flare propelled a large CME towards Earth and directly led to an extreme geomagnetic storm a day later. วันที่ 30 ตุลาคม เวลา 1:59 UT เกิดปฏิกริยาดวงอาทิตย์เป็นมุมกว้าง โดยทิศทางหลักออกไปทาง -ทิศตะวันตก- ด้านหลังไม่ตรงกับโลก และพบการขยายตัวของจุดดับในระดับปานกลาง โดยในวันที่ 29 ตุลาคม เวลา 21:54 UT ส่งพลังงาน X-ray ในระดับ X2 จากการคำนวณพบว่าคลื่นพลังงานจะเดินทางมาถึงในแนววงโคจรของโลกในวันที่ 2 พฤศจิกายน เวลา 0 UT +/- 10 ชั่วโมง ผู้ที่สนใจโปรดติดตามการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่โลกที่จะสัมพันธ์กันได้ตั้งแต่วันนี้ถึงวันที่ 2 พฤศจิกายนครับ

Scary Solar Update / Aurora Watch

Good morning and Happy Halloween. Attached is ghoulish look at the visible solar disk on Thursday. After days of non stop flare activity, solar activity declined to scary low levels. Sunspot 1877 rotated onto the west limb and 1879 will soon follow the lonely road to the other side. Sunspot 1882 continues to fade and is no longer a threat for hellish solar flares. Small sunspot 1883 finally faded away after a visit with the grim reaper. The largest threat for frightening solar flares will be freakish looking 1884 in the southeast quadrant. The active region is currently the most magnetically complex of all ghostly Earth gazing regions. Sunspots 1885, 1886 and 1887 appear to not have a pulse and are each stable. A small new sunspot formed to the southwest of 1882 and was numbered 1888. It is not yet a threat for nightmarish eruptions.

M-Flare Update: Departed sunspot 1877 off the southwest limb produced a moderate M1.9 solar flare peaking at 13:51 UTC. Because the sunspot is no longer in view, any future eruptions around this region will be directed away from Earth.

Aurora Watch: There will remain a chance for increased geomagnetic acitivy today due to weak effects associated with a minor CME impact this morning. The incoming CME was the result of an M4.4 solar flare event this past Monday.

หลุมดำที่อยู่ตรงดวงอาทิตย์คืออะไรครับ

 

นี้คือ Coronal holes เป็นบริเวณที่มืดของชั้นโคโรนา ซึ่งบริเวณนั้นจะมีเส้นสนามแม่เหล็กพุ่งออกและพุ่งเข้า ลักษณะของเส้นสนามแม่เหล็กที่พุ่งออกและพุ่งเข้านี้เราเรียกว่าเป็น วงสนามแม่เหล็ก (magnetic loops) แต่จะมาบางบริเวณที่มีเส้นสนามพุ่งออกไปไกลมากๆ ก่อนที่จะพุ่งกลับเข้ามา เราเรียกบริเวณนั้นว่าโคโรนาโฮลล์ (coronal holes)

M6.3 Solar Flare
Sunspot 1884 now in a great geoeffective position generated an impulsive M6.3 solar flare peaking at 19:53 UTC. Impulsive flares are not generally known to produce large coronal mass ejections, however I will provide updates should a plasma cloud be directed our way.
